The International Journal of English Literature & Society is a wide-scope, peer-reviewed, open-access journal that gathers the full breadth of English literature and its relationship to society. It publishes scholarship across poetry, fiction, drama and life-writing from every period, alongside literary theory and criticism, comparative and world literature in English, linguistics and stylistics, and cultural, historical and interdisciplinary studies of literature. The journal welcomes work that reads texts closely and situates them within their social, political and cultural worlds.
